A fabulous pair of Art Deco Suffragette drop earrings from the early 20th Century featuring a green Peridot at the top with a long chain running down with a Pearl in the centre and a wonderful Amethyst pendulum swinging at the bottom within a teardrop shaped frame.
Together the colours of each stone pay tribute to the women’s Suffragette movement which took place in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
Both earrings are fashioned in 15ct Yellow Gold and dangle from long shepherd hook wires. They’re very eye catching and a lovely tribute to the movement.
